Does Roto Need a New Mid-Price Ball?
« on: June 01, 2010, 01:56:46 PM »
Proshop Owners, and bowlers alike.

The Nomads solids and pearls sold pretty average or better than average for us, but as it looks there isnt a planned release this summer in the midprice range.

From RG's pattern in the past they will do an early fall release(Sept-Oct) and it i'm guessing is going to be in the mid section.

I've seen the overseas releases like the nomad hybrid, and i got more than a few requests for them.

I'm hoping a competitive solid. something above a riot, and smoother than a Mutant cell. Is it too much to ask for a reaction like the original cell, maybe without the asym core?

It's 7 months away from christmas so we can try to influence roger/matt/hank B.

The Nomads are a solid benchmark in the Roto Line...

I do believe, a new release in this line would be fantastic.

New Core and New Cover combination. Something that is more aggressive overall. Similar to the Master Line of Storm.

We will see in the coming months....

That would be interesting to see.  I find the Nomad Solid to be pretty aggressive as is.

It would be great if RG released some of their overseas stuff here like the empire, dynasty or the realm. These balls look great, have a different core then anything we've seen over here and from the numbers seem like they would sit below the mutants cell line and above the nomads. I kinda think the core looks similar to a Dimension core myself so maybe it's RG's version of that kind of ball motion in their line. They have a videoreview on Bowlingball.com of the Realm being thrown. It looks pretty awesome.

A hybrid Nomad release in the US would be awesome. It seems like that Rotary core rolls well no matter what cover RG puts on it.

Hard to get away from "tried and true" in your medium price points. Makes it very easy to sell the reaction to most bowlers.
