Double Thumb drilled Nomad Pearl

Just got my Nomad pearl re-drilled with double thumb style drilling... pin is about 1.5 in to the right and 1.5 in up from my ring finger. Second thumb hole is 1 1/16th dia. I am a lower rev player. any ideas on what I will see as far as reaction?

Just curious.  Why did you get it re-drilled, and what was the layout that you had on it before?

New to me... bought from lil league coach here on BR...Local bricknmorter owner and I are experimenting...tryin to find a different look for me.

it will really pop off the dry on the backend
that ball has a strong back end to begin with and that drilling will enhance it

Unless you have a baseline determined by the original drilling, it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell how the new drilling will react for you.

In most cases a double thumb is actually a P4 weight hole which, in general increases the RG differential, which, in turn, increases the flare. Since the stock surface is a polished, most of the flare will be in the backend, which should result in a lot stronger backend, which, normally is pretty strong.

How strong this will be is, again, impossible to determine without having established a baseline to begin with.

Let us know what you see with that drilling on your Nomad Pearl.  I'd like to know what kind of reaction you get with that double-thumb hole.  BTW, what is your PAP measurement?

Wouldn't mind knowing these as well:
Ball Speed (in the heads)
Rev Rate
Axis of Rotation
Degree of Tilt

Personally I'd prefer to know the dual angle layouts on the rest of your equipment and surfaces.

Well, the ball definately has a different look than my other stuff. Need more practice with it, used it on the third game, had three strikes all brooklyn and 7 splits 3 of which were 7-10! Ouch boy do I feel small! worst score since i broke my collar bone... 119. To top it off my wife shot, same game, 202 and asked, is that ur score or is the score sheet not working right? followed by a long chucle!

Brooklyn because you threw it poorly or Brooklyn because you weren't expecting the ball to be as strong as it was?

Good to hear, now you just need to learn to control it. Let me know if you get an opportunity to use this on a sport shot any time soon as this is combination I was thinking about drilling up myself.

Here is the specs that i drilled your nomad to:

60 degree x 4" x 30 degree

5" from PAP to Midline

Balance hole 1 1/2" from thumb 1 1/16" drilled pitched 3/4" right

Hope this helps anyone thinking of trying it out
