drilling ssp
« on: December 03, 2013, 04:12:42 PM »
I just acquired a Silver Streak Pearl in a trade and am not sure how to drill it. It has a 3.5" pin. I was thinking of putting the pin to the right of ring, cg swung out near pap with a weight hole on my pap. I want something that MOVES!! I am lacking a ball that really moves in my arsenal so I thought this ball would do the trick. Use it on a fresh shot with clean backends. Let me know what you guys think. I know the ball will naturally get good length so maybe drill it to move earlier?

The first thing you need to do is replace Bill Dozer's picture with one of your own!!!

Then we might actually comment and give you some tips!

That Silver Streak line of balls is known to be outstanding, with all-time, classic performance! I personally have always liked pin above ring with CG kicked right of thumb hole about 25-30 degrees. What condition will you be bowling on?

Do you want it to move early? in the mids? or on the backend?

I generally throw 14-16 mph. About 350 revs. This drilling will give you moderate length with a defined but controlled dive towards the pocket on the backend.

The drilling you describe means a lot of midlane read.
