Thinking 2 Plutos
« on: March 23, 2008, 12:31:37 AM »
I am a high rev player with medium speed. I throw mainly plastic and old urethane on beat up wood with light to medium conditioner.  I think I am the only player whose average dropped 20 pins after reactives came out! They just flat out hook too much for me, except in tournaments outside of my home state where there is more conditioner.

Anyway, I was think of drilling 2 Plutos with the Rico drill and leaving one with a box finish and one polished.  I have never purchased 2 of the same ball before, but was wondering if I would see a marked difference in them.  I usually stay away from polish since while it gets down the lane, it overreacts on the back since all of the energy is stored.

I never tried Roto-Grip, and everything I read about the Pluto is positive.

Maybe a Pluto and Neptune drilled Rico?

Thoughts?

CHeck with BrunsRico about the Pluto. Because it has such a low RG DIfferential and therefore, it will have a low amount of flare, I am not sure it is a good candidate for a Rico drilling. The weighthole is vital to change the shape of the core to give it more flare and earlier hook. I do not know if that can be accomplished with the Pluto. Maybe yes, maybe no.
