Dimension vs. Odyssey
« on: September 11, 2008, 02:13:04 PM »

Anybody compare these 2 balls side by side yet?

Just wondering which one is longer, stronger, and handles more oil? And what is the main difference in each of them?

And what did Bowling This Month give the Odyssey for Torque, length, backend, and Total Hook?

I know they gave the Dimension a 6.0 (Torque), 9.5 (Length), 14.5 (Backend), and 52 (Total Hook).

Thanks!

The Odyssey was reviewed in the BTM February 2007 issue.  The numbers that they gave it were:

    Torque:  7.0
    Length: 11.5
   Backend: 17.5
Total Hook: 54

I've only thrown the Odyssey but I've seen the Dimension thrown...my opinion is that the Dimension is more of an early rolling arc shape ball.  The Odyssey I think is a touch stronger overall, but goes about it in a different manner than the Dimension.  The Odyssey goes a bit longer before it makes its move and then is stronger off of the spot relative to the Dimension.
