epic battle

just a quick question, anyone polished the battle and if so how did it perform after you did, thinking of polishing mine ,but wondering if it will really make it go longer than it does. Not knocking the ball I am sure its me but my epic is stronger than my battle and they are set up pretty similar,4x3and 3/8.

Another possibility is that his Pin to CG distance is too long for his game.   A longer pin would cause the ball to go longer like he's describing as well.  I have a Battle with a 4"  pin that did something similar compared to what I was expecting.  It's in the Pro Shop getting redrilled right now to roll earlier with a more controlled backend to deal with flooded conditions.  I bought a second Epic Battle (anyball league) with a 3" pin and drilled it 5x3 and it rolls much better and outhooks everything in my bag as long as there's oil in front.  But the hook is more of a continuous arc than a snap and the only reason it covers more boards is because it rolls 2-3 feet sooner than most of my arsenal.   The layout could also be the issue because it's pretty close to a stacked leverage (high flare) drill.  This means you're trying to make this ball snap, which it's really not designed to do although it does a better job than most solid particle balls out there. Just a couple of other thoughts.

Based on the second comment, I agree with the notion that the lanes were too dry for it if polishing the surface helped.
