Epic Battle for Heavy Oil
« on: February 14, 2007, 03:03:00 PM »
I have a tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana-The Hoosier Classic this weekend. I bowl for ISU(Illinois State) and we're supposed to be having 3 different shots out, but I'm not sure what to take my Epic Battle down to. I used it just a couple of hours ago in league, and after the first couple of frames of not being able to do anything with it i switched to the HS. It wouldn't even hook, no backend no nothing, and it was being played in oil.

Last year, the first pattern was pretty slick.
I was using a V2 Sanded from maybe 15 to 10. thats about all the friction i needed. A heavy oiler might have been nice.

I think the second pattern was super short. I got my whole bag of tricks to move the whole lane.

Third pattern was pretty close to the first.

Battle = Best bowling ball ever...

I agree with Mark on this...I just the ball with a grey pad when it starts to shine up.

There is a Horizon Pearl and a new one coming out called the Mystic..which is the pearl particle Mark referred too.  Here are links to both:

I agree with Mark here in that those would round out your arsenal nicely.  I can't wait to pick up a Mystic myself.

Add me to the list of people who feel that an ocassional touch-up with a grey scuff pad is all you ever need to do to a Battle.
