Epic Battle question

A bit of a newbie when it comes to this stuff. I just throw 'em, I don't drill 'em

Anywho, I'm looking for a heavy oil ball, and I think the Epic Battle might be it. However, I was wondering what the difference is between  

"Pro Pin"

 and


"Pro CG?"

I'm a medium speed/high(er) revs bowler, but I'm looking for something that will break fairly angular and hit hard in the backend. Would picking one ball over the the matter substantially? Or, any other recommendations?

Pro Pin means pins longer the 4"...

Pro CG means the CG is (way) out of line with the pin and MB...


If your looking for a ball for heavy oil, the Battle is it, just be very cautious of Pro Pins or Pro CG's !

Never purchase one unless you have talked to the seller and he/she can assure you of the specs you are getting !

The pro cg and pro pin balls have long pin measurements and cg's out of line and will limit your drilling options greatly. And often require huge weight holes to bring them back to legal specs. The price is tempting but I'd stay away.

The last 3 balls I purchased off of Ebay has been Pro pins. As long as you have a Driller that is knowledgable, don't worry. Mine have been beasts and still legal with NO weight holes.

i just got a pro cg battle. Its leagal and the only problem the driller had is that he had to drill the the marked mb. the ball rolls good and carries well too. I am happy with mine so far
