Saturn comparison???
« on: February 07, 2007, 12:44:42 AM »
Hey guys and gals, I just ordered a Saturn. I am hoping it will be similar reaction-wise to one of my favorite balls of all time red pulse from columbia. Has anyone thrown both? I remember when I first threw the pulse it was so predictable, yet suprisingly strong. After reading the reviews here on the saturn, it seems like a lot of folks are saying the same about this ball. I'm basically looking for a ball that could be a solid bench-mark type of ball or if it isn't strong enough for early games...perhaps the ball you can drop down to with complete confidence. Thanks

Thanks for the responses so far...I'm hoping my Saturn has a little roll to it but as long as it is smooth and predictable it will be great. I have a little hand but some of the guys I bowl with are heavy-handed. Generally, I come out the gates strong, then it seems the 3rd game starts in another house. I've had so many 475-530 2 game starts blow up in face because once it's gone it's a guessing game with any move to the left.

I'm thinking the Saturn with clean backends (usually the case) may be the ticket. Definitely can't hurt to soften up the extremes. Also, thanks for the Tour Power tidbit...may have to try to pick one up.
