Epic,Oracle,Oracle Vision??? What to chose
« on: January 11, 2006, 10:48:29 AM »
I am currently throwing Lane 1 equipment and I want to give one of these 3 a try.  I want to know the difference in reaction between them, can anyone help?  I guess I would call my self a crankerstroker, I play the middle of the lane for the most part and throw about 15.5 mph.  I usually like balls that go longer with alot of backend.  Early hooking balls don't suit me well for the most part.  Please help!

I tend to sand all of my equipment to 1500 and then polish it to help give me more length and backend, if I were to do that to any of these balls will they have decent length and backend then?  I drilled my Uranuim buzzsaw for the most skid snap I could get out of it although it is not necessarily that type of ball and I love it, I also have a Hybrid dirty bomb which just doesn't go long enough for me even when sanded to 1500 and polished.  So, the question is, will they work if polished???  Other question is carry, how do these balls carry??  Do they keep the pins low or send them flying??  Also, how are the coverstocks for versatility and durability??  Sorry for all the questions but I just wanna know as much as I can about them before I make my decision.

ragnrk-You mentioned the silver streak se, I would also be interested in that ball, I didn't really know that it was more of a skid snap ball.  The only thing I worry about is its forgiveness and controllability?  I tend to cover alot of boards so I need all the help I can get.  Thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it, don't be afraid to recomend any other balls either.
