epic question
« on: May 27, 2006, 02:28:19 PM »
hey roto board:
i usually only drill hammer or ebonite equipment  buti got a killer deal on this ball (one that i couldnt pass up)  and with all the good things i have been reading i figured this would be a great opprotunity to see first hand what all the raving is about.. i havent heard a bad thing about any of the roto balls since the fuel line so i figured theres gotta be something about these balls.

anyways, i drilled an epic today and noticed something i have never seen before in the coverstock of a ball...... some parts of the cover stock are deeper than other parts......  like in 1 finger hole the coverstock is about a half inch thick b4 u get to the white filler (the ring finger) now  in the middle finger it goes a lil deeper    and in my thumb hole the coverstock is about 2-2 1/2 in thick....  now i know this will not affect the ball  or anything   but this is the first time in all the balls i have drilled i have ever noticed this.......

has anyone else noticed this  and i am curious as to why its like this......

thanx in advance

Core shape. I have one of the epic's in a half ball in my shop. the cover is very thick in some parts. but it has a flip cap.
