Saw my friend's Saga. It's much more skid/flip than the VE, near as I can tell.

I'd say the Reign was pretty close to the Saga, right now. Maybe halfway between the Fast and the Reign, but closer to the Reign.

I've thrown both.  I'd say they are close, but the VE can handle a little more oil and picks up a little earlier.

Both have very strong mass bias strength. So drillings are VERY dependent on the position of the MB for each ball: both can be very early rolling with little backend or both can have very strong backend, almost a flippy nature.

They were drilled the same, both with the MB on my VAL.  I have thrown a Saga with the MB in the strong position as well, it did the opposite of the convention.  The one with the MB on my VAL had much more backend.

That's when I started drilling any asymmetrical with the MB on the VAL.  The surface is gonna dictate when the ball picks up, the mass bias just enhances this.  You can fight the core or let the core do the work depending on what you want the ball to do, but friction is ultimately what slows ball speed and increases revolutions.

I really miss my Epic Saga (cracked).  I shot my first honor score with that ball (298).  I think the VE is probably as close as you're going to get to the Epic Saga in either line right now.  I agree that the Epic Saga was a little more skid/flip than the VE is, but it could be just because the layouts are different.  My Saga had a short pin under the ring fing with the MB in the strong position whereas my VE has the pin in the ring finger with the MB kicked out a little more, which makes it a little earlier and smoother than the Saga was.
