Opinion about Epic Saga

Hi, this is my first post ever, hehe. I have read the posts about this ball and most of them are really nice, which is why I have decided to get one of them. Overall, the reason to choose it was to know what are the advantages or disadvantages when compared with an Angular One or Total NV, which are my main balls for almost all conditions.

So after this long intro, I would appreciate if someone could also say if the ball is of high endurance or maintainance, or whatever you think could be useful to know...

I have 2 of these both turn the corner quite nice with decent backends, one of them has weight hole and is alittle more rolly than the non weight hole ball. I do not know exact side weights but the pin to pap's and mb's to pap are within 1/4 each, so i guess side weight do matter alittle.

Real average is 206 as of today, looking inside the ball i can see a slight amount of the core drilled out mabye 3/4 of inch or so.

The hole changes the dynamics of the core.

Also, is your average really 90?! lol

Considering the balls that you already have, I don't necessarily see why you have decided to get the saga.  I would consider all three of these bowling balls to be of a similar mold.  The main difference that I think that you'll see out of the saga is a bit more roll in the midlane.  The ball really seems to rev a ton and count on its relatively weak cover to keep it online through the heads.  
I would consider getting the Odyssey or some solid coverstock ball if I was in your position.  Even if you only bowl in one house or on one general condition, there will be cartain variations from day to day.  Making the asumption that you want either ebonite or roto grip, the overtime or the horizon solid seem to me to be better options.  Though you may want to make surface changes.  If you really want the Saga, I'd go with a completely different drill perhaps with the pin around 4" from the pap but only 1 1/2" above the midline, as I doubt that you have something like that and it will allow the ball to be early and relatively even with the proper mb placement.

Thanks for the info BallsDeep. and well, the reason for choosing Saga was to replace my Angular One, as it seems that it has died because I have tried the hot water soak and changing its surface and it just doesn´t to seem to be working...and I thought that it could be a good idea to try a different ball manufacturer like Roto Grip.
Also, and because of the experience I had with the Angular, I wanted to know if the Saga (or in general Roto Grip) are of long endurance and if they rather need a dedicated maintainance.

All balls need maintainance but I don't think you'll have any problem with Roto Grip balls dying and you don't have to spend a great deal of extra time doing special maintainance

IMO The epic saga, is probly the best ball that I have had backend like this. The only thing is that it is also very easy to control.

You shouldn't encounter that sort of problem with the Saga.  Many people have commented on how the one series and the total nv are high maintenance.  I haven't seen that sort of thing with any of roto grip's stuff.  I personally would clean all of your stuff though.  Anytime the topic of best cleaner comes up, track clean and dull or the newer version (same stuff as far as I've heard) clean and tacky seem to be the concensus best cleaners.  I personally love legends cleaner.  The stuff smells horrible, so use it in a well ventilated area, but it really seems to restore that freshly finished look to a ball.

I have a Horizon Pearl that I've had since last May.  Never been cleaned, sanded or polished other than the first day when I lightly hit it with a grey pad.  Ball has had no loss in performance.  It's the longest I've kept a ball in the past 5 years.
