Hey Ballreview.com users,

Do you think the Original Cell is gonna be gem in the future, or maybe it already is?

Absolutely, it was a defining ball for Roto. It will be remember as one of the best balls for years.

Definitely a gem. That reaction and cover was so unique. I still have one from Jan 2008 that I can''t seem to get rid of and have 2 blanks.

I would love to see that core in a weaker cover like the Neptune..hint, hint

By far the best known ball that Roto Grip produced. I believe the gem in the rough has been the Grand Illusions. By far the best one-two punch I ever seen.

The Cell definitely put Roto-Grip back on the map. Thank you, Hank Boomershine!

The shame of it is more people are enamored of the Mutant Cell, SOLELY because it has more backend to allow their ego to say they throw such a great ball, with so much backend. The Cell was THE ball for so many more reasons.

Could never really find enough oil to use it. Would leave alot of corner pins with it. It always burnt up on me.

Sand it to 4000 Grit.
Sand it to 600 grit and add polish.
Re-drill it with a longer pin to PAP.
