Post by: Bar5003 on February 21, 2006, 03:05:20 AM
For those who have owned it how does this ball match up against stuff in the current line like the battle...buddies has 16's on sale for $50 and i may get one...what kind of reaction can i expect out of this...how bout compared to my epic battle?

thanks!

Britton, I had a Fuel, my favorite Roto ball still! I loved it! Had it drilled 4x3 w/ a weight hole just below and in from pap ....

Never seemed to read too early,....revved up nice...and had a nice strong continuous backend....nothing jerky.....hit well also.

Havne't thrown a Battle, but I'd have to say the Battle would probably be 5 boards stronger overall than the Fuel.

Also, the Fuel adjusted very nicely to surface changes!!

Grab one!!  Hell, I might !

Don't get me wrong, the Fuel is strong, but it's not sharp.  You CAN 'sharpen' it a touch by applying polish, but...that would defeat the purpose.  The thing I liked about the Fuel, is you could use it on a fresh medium shot, to pretty darn heavy oil .....versatile

yea that sounds like it would fit in fine...because i have my epic battle which can handle oil also but its very sharp at the break point i think having a fuel drilled up similarly may give me another look i am looking for something a little smoother off the breakpoint but still strong

Possibly....it probably won't handle "as much" oil, but it'll be close...just move in a little and you should be fine !  Enjoy, and report back!
