Drilled a Saga for a lefty today, and it was a 4 1/2 pin to pap about 3 inches above the mid-line and the MB is on the val 3 inches down from the pap. Cg was out of line to the right so the ball had no need for a weight hole.
this person had a Radical inferno with the same layout but using a large balance hole.
on the lanes he threw the saga and it was mind blowing. side by side, the saga was stronger, sharper, and produced more backend than the radical by a mile.
he was 8 boards apart with the two balls. standing 24 with his feet and 13 at the arrows to as far as he could push the ball 5 board as break point the ball could always turn the corner, the radical from the same place was sliding and rolling out almost. it was buckets constantly.
I am going to make a video comparing the two, along with an ebonite one as well. all with similar drillings.
saga has been the best selling high end ball for my shop. the battle counts as last year, with over a dozen sold in the summer months. This next core cover combination using this core will be hard to call. it will be hard to make a better saga.

I'm hoping for light load partical pearl versions of both the Horizon and Saga.
That would be awesome.. I love my Oracle Vision I hope they're tuning in on this..

I suppose I could use the RSP or Oracle Vision but new equipment is much more fun.

Well if you lokks at whats already been put out:
Epic - Solid Reactive
Epic Battle - Solid particle
Epic Saga - Solid / Pearl
The next ball in the Epic line will be either a solid pearl or a particle pearl...

I'd like to see a high grit smooth coverstock with the battle core
Maybe something like 4000 grit smooth reactive with the battle core. Give you some options with taking down the coverstock and getting some length but still give you that back end.
If you ask me they should bring back the original epic core, that was a heck of a ball too!
The saga is an impressive ball, but tough to handle on floods I've seen.

Roto Grip usually doesn't put out more than 3 balls in one given series. I'd expect a continuation of the current high end production with one more Mid price offering, another release in the upper mid price(with the SD73), and maybe a new high performance ball around the Spring/Summer time trade show season.
...just going off past trends of the past 4 years.

They made a particle pearl the epic dream international release never could get my hands on a 15lb.
