So, tonight, I decided to throw a couple balls I've been sort of shying away from lately... brought out my SD73 and Saturn...
First game, threw the SD. Front 7, then got it in the oil, left the bucket minus the 5pin, spared and went off the sheet for a 277. Good start, huh?
Second game, threw the SD for the first frame and washed out, having ripped my ring finger on the crease that rests on the grip in the process. Went and patched up with some superglue and a Robby's patch, then switched to the Saturn. Threw the next 10, followed by a bucket on the fill shot, attempting to get 8 to try for a triplicate. 275. 552 after 2. Some people would be happy with that after 3 in some of the leagues I've bowled in... lol. So, all I needed was a 248, right??
Third game, stayed with the Saturn. Opened with five, and blew out a 7-10. Missed both, so, I needed the next four for the 800. Bang bang bang, four pin first ball in the tenth. Spared and struck for 795.
A few weeks ago, I started throwing the Saturn. I found that if I started with it, it tends to break my shot down rather quickly. So, I figured tonight, I'd start with something that's going to go a little longer down the lane, and carry some oil down with it, and then switch when I found I wasn't getting the reaction I desired anymore. I couldn't have played the lanes any better tonight. Aside from the two buckets and the 7-10, I think I very easily had an 850. I missed the head pin on one shot, and it was when my finger decided to open up. Other than that, I shoulda shot 8 tonight. Possibly 2, or even 3 perfect games. I was on.
Musta been the bowling shirt I bought.
