So, Bowlingball.com had Grenades on sale for 65 bucks. Been needing a urethane for the burn, picked one up.

I'm averaging 17-18 mph, and my revs have gone up to around 400. Should I drill this thing weak, late, or strong? I'm not entirely sure what to expect out of it, as i've never watched anybody throw it on something comparable to what I normally bowl on.

Also getting it for a 9 game I'm going to be bowling in August, as urethane is what constantly saves the other guys in the tournament.

What I bowl on:
44 ft. house shot, with medium-light oil placed due to the length, on worn synthetics. Each shot with a reactive is different, so you have to keep moving each frame almost. At most you get 3 shots in one place.

I'm definitely going to make it a short pin-pap. Cut out a lot of the flare from the ball and make it relatively stable. Thinking pin up to get it down, because when the lanes I bowl on burn out, they burn out. I know it'll get to the point I'll make a Taboo Spare look like an og Taboo on the lanes, been there before...

I have a son who is on the bigger handed side of big handed two handers!

His driller put a 2 X 2 on a Red Pure Hammer (almost urethane)....can you say DUD!

His shot is not burnt but very wet dry!  I have seen a comparison video of the Grenade versus the Natural versus the Blue Hammer. 

For my money and 20 extra bucks the only one that would make it in my bag after my already owned dud Storm Natural would be the Blue Hammer!

Many on here have opinined that the Blue Hammer it has a bit of reactive blended in.  Needed I think on today's oils.

Looked up the comparison video, and the Grenade is what I'm looking for. It's above plastic, and isn't a backend machine. It looks more controlled overall, rather than motion at the back. I don't care if I don't carry a ten out, as long as I'm in the pocket I'll be happy.

And charles, I think he was talking about the remake of the Blue Hammer. From the looks of it, I think Storm may have blended the Natural, too. I've watched people throw the Natural, and it's a bigger mover than I thought urethane to be. So we'll see what happens.

The 40 dollar difference was a good selling point for the Grenade, too.

I realize I may be getting a little off topic, but I love my Grenade.  I bowl in a center that is very slick between the 10s and very dry on the outs, so I play my Grenade 9 out to 5 and its money.  Lot of power when it gets back.  I don't remember having this much continuation in a urethane.
I have mine drilled label with the pin just over my ring finger.  I also hit mine with a 4000, because I didn't really like the reaction of the box finish.
