Thoughts on Halo solid?
« on: June 12, 2019, 01:19:05 AM »
Heavily considering putting my Halo up for sale. It's just not matching up with my low rev game... Maybe not enough oil in my area.  What is everyone else seeing?

It's a snowtire good for heavy oil and straighter angles.  Good for control.  Not the ball to bounce off the friction.  If you have low revs and are looking for downlane motion, the Halo isn't the ball for you.  Maybe try some shine?

Mine is pretty chuggy, with a smooth motion off the dry. It can't wheel, but mine has some nice backend motion and continuation. I generally find it best when keeping my launch angles tight, or blending over/under.

Halo is asym version of the Idol... I think I'll sell it, looking for either a Super Soniq, Roto Winner solid, or other strong sym.... I definitely do however, play straighter and tighter angles with speed around 14 off the hand.

I got the ball mainly for tourneys. But lately my summer league has been putting down some volume. I can use it to play up 5 or in that area with a straighter shot ( which I like)  Ball works well for me. Just shot a 300 with it last Wed.  To sum it up, if the volume is not there the ball will burn up. With oil it works very well. Again I got it for a reason. I am glad I did.
