Assault Pearl rolls harder and earlier. SSP is more angular. I think the SSP has more overall hook but I like the AP for more control and power.

When we shot in New Braunfels a few weekends ago, there was a woman on my pair who was using an SSP while I was using the Assault Pearl.  Wood lanes, and we were moving one pair to the right (8 game event).  I was not trying to cover many boards and had found a release that allowed me to pretty much stay put through much of the day, while she began to struggle some with the SSP turning early.  When it decided to turn left, there was no question about when that was happening.

While I am still considering the SSP to go with the two Silver Solids that I have,    I spend far more time wishing that Roger still had some of the Assault Pearl's sitting in the warehouse because I fear the SSP would be just enough too flippy to see a lot of use (and yes I know that may sound strange coming from someone that loved the Retro Blue and still has two that occasionally see the light of day).

Weight block shapes are different, pretty sure.  Assautl Pearl is pearl particle, and Silver Streak Pearl is pearl resin.  Silver Streak Pearl should be longer and sharper on most every condition.  Heavy oil, the SSP may be too long, where the Assault Pearl may pick up a little roll.  Both are probably medium balls for most people, AP has a more banana shaped hook, SSP has a more hockey stick shaped hook.

Hope this helps ya....
