Help on layout for cell
« on: January 30, 2009, 02:34:25 AM »
17.5-18.5 mph, 150-180 revs and he spins the ball. Bought a Cell pro cg. 2.00 inch pin, cg is 1 1/2 left of straight line.Thinking of setting it up for league shot, pin above middle finger, cg center of palm, MB about 1.5 right of thumb.  Thanks in advance.

So, a guy with a good bit of speed, no revs, and he spins the ball.  Usually with spinners and speed dominant players you need to place the pin closer to the PAP to encourage earlier roll.  However, do you even know his PAP?  Pin and MB in relation to simply the fingers is really pretty meaningless outside of generalizations.

I usually drill it strong (like 3 3/8 pin/mb to pap) and then sand the heck out of the cover (500-1000), so the spinners see the ball pick up and roll.

If you do not know the PAP:  Locate the pin next to the ring finger with the CG half an inch positive and mass bias 2" right of the thumb (if he is a righty).  That should be money.
