I'm looking for some suggestions for consideration.

I'm temporarily out in the SF Bay Area and joined a couple of 9 PM leagues (first time bowling this late and I'm definately not use to the conditions, I guess you can get spoiled with a fresh shot). The equipment that I brought with me from MI checks up way to early and doesn't finish strong. The other thing I've noticed is that the ball blows through the pocket so hard that I don't see the deflection I'm use to and leave ALOT of single back row pins.

I know it's the lane surface change and I should move left but that isn't my comfort zone. I used my Silver Streak Pearl (drilled 3.75 X 3.25)last night and was the first night of bowling out here that I didn't have to force the shot and ended with a 696. It's has a fair number of games on her and I'm thinking of looking for a new RG or Storm ball that could take it's place.

I do have a Venus drilled 5X3 but I haven't been comfortable with the reaction because it can also check up early (I'm assuming because of the Particle Pearl cover). Do you think an Illusion drilled 5X3 pin up could give me the length and the backend I'm looking for? What other options can I consider for this type of lane condition but have that long and strong look?

I usually am able to bounce a Neptune on most THS.

Depending on your specifics, if you like the Venus' reaction, you can stick with the same core shape with the Neptune (weaker cover).

I have however drilled a few Neptunes, and prefer the stronger layouts over the tame ones for this ball.  (for me the weaker drilled ball seemed to labor alot more)
