Hey everyone, has anyone tried a high gloss polish on their Mutant Cell Pearls such as Storm's Xtra Shine? I'm lacking a true dry lane ball right now, and I'm not having the best success with the Mutant Cell Pearl on my current house conditions. I don't have enough hand to swing the ball from the inside, but the ball grabs too much in the midlane when I try to move outside. It has the best carry of any ball I've ever thrown so I don't want to give up on it, but I don't want to buy another ball as well. I'm going to put it on the spinner before league Friday and polish it up using Storm's Xtra Shine instead of the Step 2 and Reacta Shine that I normally use. Just wanted to get an idea on what others have found on trying this. I'm pretty much looking to get a Reign or 2Fast reaction with some realistic expectations that it might roll a little heavier than the two.

Try sanding it with 2k, then 4k abralon prior to polishing the ball with extra shine. It will make a big difference.

Thanks Cobalt, should I go back down to 500 then 2000 then 4000 then Xtra Shine to just start the process from scratch? Right now its at 500 then Step 2.

If you want the extra length, don't skip the 1000 step. So 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 then polish.

Thanks guys! I'm gonna give that a whirl and see what happens. Gives me another excuse to go in the basement and use my spinner
