Cell drilling advice
« on: August 17, 2008, 07:22:25 AM »
I wonder if any of you guys can help me with some drilling/setup/surface advice for a Cell. I wish to use it on longer/oilier patterns and when there is carrydown.

Now I don't know my exact stats but I would say I'm a stroker that either plays a small-medium out and in shot usually somewhere around 1st/2nd arrow from about 5-6 boards left of that target(Can play further left depending on ball/conditions) or straight up the boards (ala WRW & Norm Duke). I am medium speed/Revs bowler and I would say my track is high-ish.

If any of you guys could help I would appreciate it very much

I would have got away with it if it was not for those pesky kids (Behind my lane) and those blasted 10 pins.

Unfortunately despite my reasonably decent average I still don't know my exact stats. I think part of this is that I have never wanted to over complicate things and also I probably buy a new ball every 3-4 years so have not felt it was that important in the past.

My driller is going to measure my PAP just before I get the Cell,I was just interested in general opinions on how strong I should get a drilling/what surface/layout I should use, especially from those who are either strokers or low end tweeners.

I drilled mine pin up 5"x4" no weight hole and its still way strong, you don't need a really strong layout on this ball, it is very strong.

Put the Pin under ur ring and Kick ur mass bias out 3 inches from ur thumb.
and a with hole 1 inch below the mass bias.

to make this drilling more aggressive. take the grit down to six hundred.

I drilled mines lke that and the first time i used it i shot 730 scratch.
