Follow up(Punched up the Saga)

To fill everyone in, a couple of weeks ago I posted this:

In light of what everyone stated, I Decided to give RG one more go with the Saga before I ventured out of the RG lineup. The end results were this:

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/cobbinside/detail?.dir=89c3&.dnm=c80fre2.jpg&.src=ph

Pin 3" from my PAP and the MB was I wanna say 5-6 inches away from my PAP. The ball ended up finger wt:0 thumb wt:0 and SW: 3/4 oz.  Coverstock adjustment: 1000 Abralon Pad

The ball had a 3.5-4 inch pin that I wasn't too happy about since I wanted the ball to roll early for me on heavier shots.  But it did fine. The starting TW was about 3.3 oz henceforth the massive Weight hole, Its right through the CG.

Now, I will never talk bad about RG's coverstocks, I was mistaken. However, I wish that RG would come out with a couple other high end pieces that didn't use the Epic core. Why? Its spin time is SOOO FAST!!!

I Threw this ball on a JBT gold pattern, I believe it was 36 foot. We got on it later in the day and there had been open play on the lanes before we got on them, so carry down was noticiably on the outside. So I decided to give the Saga a spin. And WOW!!!! I played up 3 with it, and when I say that this ball ROLLED, IT ROLLED...  I mean out of my hand it was ready to get up and go, and finished through the deck. Because the pattern wasn't actually long, I had to keep my speed up or the ball would check through the face or go brooklyn.

2nd condition: 44 foot pattern- This is where the ball shined. Used the same line(up 3) and oh Buddy!! The ball crushed the hole. The added length in oil really made a difference. The ball was able to give me a better read before it hit the friction and really spun up. I was even able to swing the ball a tad, probabally about 4 or 5 boards, which is good for the way this ball is laid out.

Likes: On both shots the Saga gave me a great midlane read even through all the oil.

Dislikes: None really, except if I really get around it, it flares over the weight hole

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks RG. I am still venturing outside of RG to see what other reactions are out there. But I fell back in love with RG this weekend.

Well done, man.  The Saga is definitely my favorite ball in my arsenal.  So versatile, and so so strong.  That pearl/solid hybrid makes a perfect combo with that hard rolling core.  I absolutely love mine.
