Bless the market.  Black Widow probably shortened how long until that happened.
Kind of noob when made this account so take advice with grain of salt.

I think that is definitely a more appropriate price point.  If it would have started there I might have leaned towards the hot cell over the shadow ops.
Current 'go-to's:
- Badger Infused 50 x 5 x 30
- Truth Tour 70 x 4 x 70
- Black Widow Gold 35 x 5 x 30
- Eon 70 x 4 x 70

Coming soon:
Volt, Hyroad Nano, Flux

Market forces in action revealing the true price, maybe a little lower.
I was told once those things lane shine, there a spare ball.
And told a friend Monday night to buy a new one if you like it so much.

Urethane is a ton of fun to throw but I have yet to throw much over 230 with any of mine.  Unless you are Revzilla their ceiling is pretty obvious especially on THS.

I'd like to give one a shot, but it just seems like it doesn't continue as well as the Black Widow.
League: Pitch Purple, Destiny Magenta

I'm rev challenged, but I throw urethane on my Thursday house league due to the amount of friction, but on Tuesday, it won't finish.  I just purchased a Shadow Ops, and it was a stinker on my Tuesday league which doesn't surprise me.  I'm gonna try and toss it tonight and see if it is as good as my Boo-Yah.

Price was worth it for me. First 300/800 with the Hot Cell. Had another shot at 800 less than 2 weeks after that but split in the 8th of the last game. Finished with 757. Our shot has been fairly wet/dry lately. This ball has worked great on it, but it also worked good when I tried it when it wasn't so wet/dry. I haven't shot under 600 when starting with this ball. Even on "bad" nights I can manage a decent series.

You can't really lane shine a ball like this. Even if it does start getting there, just hit it with whatever grit you want. I've been going 500/2000 on mine.

What kind of layout did you use?

I didn't actually map it out with a specific layout. Just put the pin up above the ring and the mass bias kicked a little to the right of the thumb. It's a pretty safe asymmetric layout for me. If I were to guess on numbers, it would be close to 5x4x3. Give or take 1/2" on the first 2. Last number should be pretty close.

I'm not a high rev bowler. More up the back to 45 degrees on release. 250-300 rev rate with decent speed most of the time. Probably slightly speed dominant, though I have slowed down a bit recently because I'm wiped out from bowling so much. Mainly why I'm throwing urethane mostly right now, especially since our shot became wet/dry about a month ago. Better blended prior to that. Always a decent amount of oil, but right now it is mostly in the middle of the lane.

Buddies is a distributor that drop-ships through different distributors. It's not really them "Getting a deal" as much as it's passing on the sale of the week through the distribution partners they are affiliated with.

Wait about 3 weeks and there's going to be motherload scores in the Clearance section of all of the major online retailers. There's more balls coming out than ever and these warehouses are the same sizes as they've always been. Gotta make room for the Spring launches!
