Hey guys I'm new to this page. I'm only 18 years old and I've been bowling all my life I've thrown storm all my life and one of my friends told me that I just have to find an application for Roto grip or storm.  How does Roto grip or storm contact you if you want to get on the amateur staff. Please let me know because I'm a good bowler and I want to be recognized out there. If you have any comments please let me know. I really want to get on storm or Roto grip amateur staff.

Getting a staff position is basically like applying for a job. Send them a resume and showed them why Roto needs YOU not the other way around. You have to have something on the resume that separates you from the others, which makes Roto want to have you on their team before other companies. Keep stacking up those tournament wins (recommending regional wins), raise the average as high as you can, and maybe by then it'll show that you are eligible.

Being a former ball rep, I can tell you the bottom line is How will you (the staffer) help us (the ball company) sell balls.  The bottom line is about selling product.  Now it also is important to represent yourself in a professional manner at all times but selling product is the most important portion to get a ball deal.  If there is one thing I don't miss about being a rep is this question, "hey, I love your stuff been using it for years, I average 235 and have umpteen honor scores can I have a staff deal?"  My next question to them was "how will you help me/ball company sell my product?"  Usually I get a deer in headlights look when I say that but if they didn't have a plan I usually didn't have an interest in that particular person.

Hope this sheds some light for any of you people out there looking for a ball deal.  Have a plan when you get your shot to talk to a rep about a deal.  Because they could care less about how good of a bowler you are they want to know how good a "sales person" you will be.  Good luck!

Still seems like you have to be more of a salesman than a bowler to be a good "staffer".
