Roto Covers
« on: July 31, 2007, 06:34:17 PM »
Hey all,

I am looking @ purchasing a roto grip ball.

Have been throwing storm for a while, and am just looking for something new.

My question is does roto grip use storms covers?  and if so which ones are which, as they have different names.

or do they have their own?

thanks guys

Storm manufactures the balls.  The covers have different names from the Storm covers, not sure if any would be the same formulation???. All of the covers seem to be stronger than advertised - meaning I don't believe they can make a weak cover.

The Planet line, IMHO, is the best value in Bowling Balls.

Venus, Neptune and Saturn are outstanding values, you can't go wrong. (Sure Grip Cover)

In fact, the Horizons/Mystic mid line (Ultimate Grip Cover) - is tremendous for symmetric type and the Top Shelf Epic Line has one of the strongest asymmetrical weight blocks/coverstock produced (Ultimate Vision Cover).

Every ball has a purpose; something for everyone, in other words they don't just
throw a bunch of regurgitated releases on the market - they are well thought out and leading edge.

They are all different formulations.  They may share the same base or some additives, but unless something changed recently, Storm and Roto Grip do not share covers.

Back a while, MustangGuy said that RG, starting with the RS series (I think), actually used a different resin supplier than Storm does.
