oracle versus the rest

I have an original oracle i dont have alot of revs and basically depend on the ball for what ever reaction i get. I bought this ball for heavy oil and carry down, but i am really not impressed.I have a wmb and my oracle hooks more than the wmb in the same condition, but i need all the help i can get ,is the appocolypse better for heavy oil with carry down or is there no better ball than the oracle and its just me,can anyone offer any advice.I am a low speed low rev drop the ball and watch it roll bowler but i love the game and would rather be competetive than bowling 130 and 140, i have a 191 avg. but i am not consistent especially where there is oil.

Toomany,
The thing with the Oracle is you must have OIL, and I must emphasize OIL...just because your normal resins aren't hooking as much as your used to doesn't mean that the whole lane is oilier, it could just be the backends, and if thats the case you might be experiencing the ball burning up.But yo say that it outhooks your WMB. So what is it exactly that you are unhappy with?  Is the carry the movement of the ball?  Elaborate a little more on what your getting and then what you want from the ball and then it will be easier for everyone to help you.

I agree, I dont understand what you are complaining about. if your Oracle is outhooking your WMB, what is the problem? Mytmouse is right in that the Oracle does need a lot of OIL to be a reliable ball. If you are looking for something with more of a backend, then yes the apocalypse would be a good ball for you to try.

Its hard to say that he needs practice Ryan without seeing him bowl.  As far as we are converned he may be comparing his speed to that of Robert Smith's and I Think that just about all of us would come up as inferior.  The Oracle is a very condition specific ball and balls like that are hard for most bowlers to accept beacause we would love to see that $200 we threw @ a ball work on every condition we throw it on.  I think that toomany prolly just needs a little tweaking on his cover, besides I have seen a lotta people with a ton of hand get KILLED by people who have little to none, when the shot is tight.

i thank you guys for your response ,and when i say it out hoks my wmb i dont mean it hooks enough for the condition i was bowling on i mean that it moved more but not enough.it is hard to find a house to practice on where there is enough oil to use this ball. I just happened to pull it out this weekend and it just happened to be the best ball in my bag for the shot, but as i said get it right a board it washed out. i had it sanded to 400 and will try it the next time i see this shot until thin i will practice as i do 4 to 5 days a week,but never with enough oil to see the true characteristics of theses balls.
