There's been rumors of a new Hyped.

They just released one overseas for the first time in Japan. The name Hyped Super Pearl lined up with the rumors I had heard, however, the Japanese spec sheet shows "VTC Pearl" as if it's just a repaint.

Everyone knows SPI discontinued a bunch of balls, so we're all just waiting for the announcements to see. It's almost like they're waiting until it gets close to Brunswick's upcoming release dates to then drop all the information.

Bowl Expo seemed strange to me this year in that it did not seem like the companies had the usual ton of new releases.  Didnt they typically have at least 1 ball from every line they would introduce?  Looked that way from the few videos I watched.  We have the biggest showcase of the year and then turn around and introduce new releases only a month afterwards?  Does that seem strange or is it just me?

Bowlers Asylum on FB showed two new release for the states with the Optimum Idol pearl and Summit Ascent. Sure there will be plenty more closer to league time.

There's also a Sublime Focus that showed up on the approved list and I haven't seen anywhere overseas still. The picture looks like a pearl version

I spoke to Roto Grip directly and asked them.  Their response was "We are planning to release something in the HP2 line but at the moment we are currently testing on some new cores and coverstocks that would be best suited for that line. Please be patient as we want to create something great!"
