R/G color picks
« on: August 05, 2016, 09:55:45 PM »
I have one beef with R/G. I just don't like most of the color combos. Why is there always green in most of the balls?  I personally HATE green. The No Rules looks like a great ball, but I hate the color combo. The Critical is another ball that they could have come up with a better color combo. The Bullseye is all green. I really like Roto's equipment, but I know I could do a better job in the color department. Whats your opinion?
There's two kinds of music METAL and bullshit!

I'm personally not a fan of 3 color pours when they have some radically different colors. I'm fine if colors are vibrant and pop (ie. C300 Blur Pearl) but my eyes dont read the green/orange/black of the No Rules very well

I actually really like how the No Rules looks and the Wreck-It is pretty nice too. But Roto Grip has been kind of spotty overall in terms of color combinations that appeal to me lately.

The Bullseye looks awful and the flat gray in the Critical threw the whole thing off in my opinion. Both of the Hustle balls are alright. The Hy-Wire is just kind of out there. Really stands out, but I don't care much fir it either way. Haywire is solid. The Hectic and Eternal Cell are somewhat generic.

I don't really care about the colors either though. With as many balls that have come out and as many that are starting to be released I can't fault any of the companies for trying different things. The combinations Roto Grip uses do stand out compared to most of the other labels.
