Hyped Hybrid Review
« on: October 22, 2021, 02:12:29 PM »
Layout 55 x 4-3/8 x 45 at box surface

The Hyped Hybrid is the newest ball in the Roto Grip HP2 line which replaced the MVP series.  The new Hyped core gives a lot of performance at this price point.  The ball reads the midlane fairly strong while being clean, long and pretty controllable due to the VTC Hybrid coverstock .  While testing on a 44' house pattern, this Hyped Hybrid was great on the fresh as it kept me closer to the friction while still being able to read the heavier oil condition if I missed my target left.  It gave me a continuous shape downlane which enhanced my pin carry.  Comparative to the Hyped Pearl, the Hybrid was slightly stronger in the midlane will being smoother overall in backend motion.  The Hybrid model will be a lot better on fresh oil conditions than the Pearl just due to the fact that it is smoother.  Adding surface to the coverstock will enhance this motion further.  Comparative to the Idol Synergy in the HP3 line, the Hyped was about 3-4 boards weaker in overall strength and slightly smoother in backend motion.
