Nah, staffers should tell you what the ball does, not how great it is. Some balls aren't for everyone. Hy-Wire, "great" ball, not my style. I made the video, did the review, and it's sitting on the floor in the shop. It doesn't fit the conditions I bowl on and is nothing that I need. Phaze? Same thing, until I go to nationals, then it's going to be the first ball in the bag along with an Alpha Crux. Alpha same deal, don't have one yet because I REALLY don't need it for what I bowl on. My bag contains an IQ Tour Solid, a Hectic, and a Loco Solid. OCCASIONALLY, the Victory Road Pearl comes out if I need the same look as my IQ with a bit more length.
Stick to my videos and reviews, I tell you what the ball does, not the scores I've shot with it, not how awesome it is, I break it down so you can make the best decision for YOUR game and the conditions YOU bowl on. As they say, there are no bad balls, just bad ball reactions, so I can't say, "oh this ball sucks," if it's just not matching up for me or I'm using it on the wrong condition. Well yeah if you have the wrong layout on the ball or it's the wrong ball for your style and conditions, it will probably suck. Too many people see a new ball and want it and then try to cram it into their bag whether it should go there or not. "Yeah, I'd like an Alpha, but I've got a lot of revs and slow speed and bowl on a dry condition, so I need it to go long and snap, and will probably have to really kill the cover too."
If you pick the right ball, put the right layout on it, and use it on the right condition, it's probably going to be pretty good. Companies just don't intentionally put out junk . . some balls are better than others, and some are more condition specific than others, but if a ball sucks, you're doing something wrong . .
To many balls come out to fast. The next wonder ball will be released next week .Wait for your company staffer to tell you how great it is ! Blah blah blah
