Shot 300 OOB with mine so I'm happy. The ball to me is very strong in the dry and very continuous through the pin deck. Keeps the pins very low and pushes the rack back.

Ill stick to my urethane stuff. Too many new 'best ball ever' coming out and this and that. Staffers doing what they have to do to stay on staff saying this is the next big ball and go get yours now. I avg 230+ with my urethane anyways so im happy with that.

I am not on any staff. I have been throwing Roto stuff for a few years now and only really liked a few pieces and this is one of them.

Nah, staffers should tell you what the ball does, not how great it is.  Some balls aren't for everyone.  Hy-Wire, "great" ball, not my style.  I made the video, did the review, and it's sitting on the floor in the shop.  It doesn't fit the conditions I bowl on and is nothing that I need.  Phaze?  Same thing, until I go to nationals, then it's going to be the first ball in the bag along with an Alpha Crux.  Alpha same deal, don't have one yet because I REALLY don't need it for what I bowl on.  My bag contains an IQ Tour Solid, a Hectic, and a Loco Solid.  OCCASIONALLY, the Victory Road Pearl comes out if I need the same look as my IQ with a bit more length.

Stick to my videos and reviews, I tell you what the ball does, not the scores I've shot with it, not how awesome it is, I break it down so you can make the best decision for YOUR game and the conditions YOU bowl on.  As they say, there are no bad balls, just bad ball reactions, so I can't say, "oh this ball sucks," if it's just not matching up for me or I'm using it on the wrong condition.  Well yeah if you have the wrong layout on the ball or it's the wrong ball for your style and conditions, it will probably suck.  Too many people see a new ball and want it and then try to cram it into their bag whether it should go there or not.  "Yeah, I'd like an Alpha, but I've got a lot of revs and slow speed and bowl on a dry condition, so I need it to go long and snap, and will probably have to really kill the cover too."  ???  If you pick the right ball, put the right layout on it, and use it on the right condition, it's probably going to be pretty good.  Companies just don't intentionally put out junk . . some balls are better than others, and some are more condition specific than others, but if a ball sucks, you're doing something wrong . .

To many balls come out to fast. The next wonder ball will be released next week .Wait for your company staffer to tell you how great it is !   Blah blah blah

So as an addendum, that's why you won't see staffers bashing balls . . the vast majority of them know what works for them as far as layouts, surfaces, and condition to use the ball on, so if you add all that up, you're gonna get good ball reaction.  Now, I definitely agree that some go pretty far over the top talking it up, but if somebody gets hyped about something they don't need, it's going to suck, they're going to hate it, most likely switch to a different company and never trust a word that staffer says again.  I like every single ball I drill, but most of them aren't usable for me on a regular basis.  I bowl on a medium condition with a pretty sharp wet/dry left to right, and being on the left side, straighter is greater.  A lot of guys will take a new ball and use it no matter what, and I'm of the opinion if it's not a good matchup, you're going to look like an idiot trying to force something to work and make the ball look bad in the process.

I agree  on the fact that all balls don't match up with everyone. I've had a handful of balls that I thought would be Money for me and they Sucked. I sell and redrill for some one else and they wackum on the same condition. Oh well,I'm happy that it's works well for someone. They are even more happy when they beat me out of a side pot or bracket with the ball 😆

That's how I am with the Phaze now. I absolutely love it and everyone in my area bashes it to no end. I couldn't agree more that each person match's up to ball in a different way. I'm really interested in the Hy-Wire as I really like my Critical and Haywire.

So since every time someone say something good about a new piece their a staffer, OK. Maybe one should start the sentence with " For me, What I think or IMO". So here goes...

For me and my game it matched up well, I think the ball comes off the spot with a deliberate and continous move to and through the pocket. IMO the ball keeps the pins extremely low and pushes the rack back.  From what I saw the ball reacts and carrys better on medium oil and seems to have too much angle on lighter patterns.

Thank you for all the replies. I have a Haywire and an Asylum that I really like . I matched up well with these two, so I am excited to get my Hy-wire Wednesday.
I am not a staffer either, just been trowing primarly RG for the last 11 yrs.
I agree with everyones comments about not matching up with every ball that comes out. Heck I put off getting the Wrecker for 2 yrs and then shot 300 with it the first night.. sigh always learning. I personally was hoping RG's next release would be the pearl version of the Haywire with the Microbite particles ;)
