star---Factor in your own stats and lane conditions you bowl on and don't give BTM another thought. Their testing process (how they layout balls for stroker, tweener, cranker are way flawed, patterns they use to test, etc) are wacky. They always test OOB and the Hyped Solid from factory is very, very dull in most batches OOB. So, those total hook numbers are way more than a lane shined or polished HS.
If you need another opinion is find a patch pirate that doesn't edit shots with your stats. on the type of lane condition that you bowl on. That's the best way to get an idea if you might match up well to the ball in question. Problem with most house shots that patch pirates use to test and video on is they are generally medium-heavy and they have more ball speed than the majority of senior bowlers have so throw everything out the window. It's a best guess scenario. For the majority of bowlers on house an entry level lower cost ball will do better than any of the big balls brought to market. ie. the Hustles 2.55 .030 are enough strength for the majority of us or solid and pearl Rhino 2.54 .030 and won't break the bank. BTM doesn't even get test balls for these lower end so you never know anyway if you rely on BTM. Balls are getting way to expensive for what they are for the majority of house hack bowlers like myself as an example. The only folks that need these high dollar strong balls are speed dominant puckers on medium-heavy. Plus there aren't many that bowl sport or PBA that could use the medium to high end equipment.
Just one house hacks opinion.
