Hyper Cell Skid and Unhinged ball review
« on: December 22, 2014, 08:21:06 PM »
We got a chance to test the two newest performance balls from Roto Grip.
The Skid is a nice heavy rolling ball, clean enough through the heads while offering a defined move at the breakpoint. This ball will be a pretty good piece for tweeners as it will still be a pretty strong ball overall but be playable more often than the Hyper Cell solid.
The Unhinged is very clean through the heads and mids while storing plenty of energy for the back ends. This would likely need to be a step down to the Hysteria on fresh shots since it can play a bit over/under. Once it breaks down a bit this ball will work perfectly if you had a look with the Hysteria. On medium to medium-light conditions, it can work very well. Do to the energy retention, it can be played from multiple angles with no issues.
