top weight question...
« on: December 17, 2008, 10:30:08 AM »
On my Cell and Cell pearl the top weights are 3.44 and 3.48 respectively. Is this the norm? Without asking I just assume it's because of the size of the core.
The difference between Ordinary and Extraordinary is that little Extra.

keeones23:

Top wt only tells you how big your balance hole will be when you do a CG shift.  Higher top weight generally means larger diameter hole or deeper hole to make statically legal.

I defer to the USBC ball motion study that said it was 15th out of 18 variables in terms of importance in ball motion.
