Rubicon UC2?

I want to hear from staffers as soon as this ball is released. Looks like a winner. Rubicon core and Nuclear cell cover. Wow! Most of the original Rubicons I saw were polished so a pearl makes sense..

The Roto Grip Rubicon is the brand new asymmetrical pearl from Roto Grip. this ball features the Rondure Core wrapped in eTrax Pearl. If you liked the first Rubicon, you will like the UC2. It fits right in between the Nuclear Cell and Idol Pearl. It will come into play in league most of the time and for tournament bowlers, it will come into play around game 3-4 of a block. This ball does not stop at all. For me, it has always gone through the pins very well and never deflects, which is a great thing to see out of an asymmetric pearl.

Strong and defined breakpoint
If you like the Rubicon or Idol Pearl, but need a little more pop on the backend, then this is your ball. It kind of reminds me of my SnapLock from a few years back. It is cleaner than my Idol pearl and little more angular. This ball reaction helps to kick those corners out when the oil starts to carry down and the lane transitions. If your benchmark ball starts leaving you flat 10’s/7’s the UC2 will be a great ball 2 option. I feel like any style bowler can use this ball. Its easy length will be great for slower speed players but high speed players can pipe it up the outside. The medium speed players can baby arc it or move in and bounce it off the dry. This ball fits perfectly between your medium ball and your big hook/heavy oil ball.

For the UC2 I drilled 50 x 3.5 x 30. The purpose was to go long and turn hard in the back on our 44 foot pattern. I would put this ball as slightly strong than the Axiom pearl due to the asymmetry of the Rondure core. The original Rubicon was a smooth solid where the UC2 has a shaper backend motion. This ball does work well when the backends have dried up or its able to be played on an outside line on fresh oil.
