Danger to replace Storm Rocket?
« on: May 01, 2018, 03:00:26 PM »
My favorite THS ball of all time is the Storm Rocket. Just the way that ball gets off the spot and never hit weak, I miss it. After going through about 8-10 EBI duds I haven't quite found a replacement for it and I don't think I want to gamble on an Ultra Heat. Is the Danger close for that go skid, lope, quick move down lane reaction?

Son!Q is good, but there is zero lope. All Out Show Off all the way.

I'm picking up the All Out Show Off, and Idol tonight. Both 5" Pin up no hole. I'll post first impressions sometime next week.

The All Out IS virtually the Rocket.  A tad stronger, a tad earlier, but I'm a huge Rocket fan and the All Out makes me happy.  Very very similar balls.

Early update after throwing 3 games with both. The All Out is exactly what I was looking for as far as that open the lane up option on medium oil. Easy to feed to the spot, faces up fast and angular. This was a house shot after Youth leagues and the All Out was a joy to feed to the right and watch it come screaming back.

I don't see this getting as much play as my Rocket did, nor will it make the nationals bag, but I can see this being the ball that I feel confident striking with when there's friction. It might not make the nationals bag, but overall I have this ball a touch longer than the Rocket but the same motion in the last 15 feet and through the pin deck.

Thanks for the solid recommendation guys, as I would have completely overlooked it. I'ma happy camper.

P.S. ...IDOL is a MONSTER! I'll save that for a different topic though.

DP3 you are welcome!

I am in complete agreement with your assesment. Even though the number are very similar I see the All Out as slightly cleaner on lower volumes and a touch more comeback than the Rocket!

Exactly what I sense in rour description also!

Enjoy!
