surface prep
« on: December 09, 2007, 06:51:11 PM »
i recently bought an epic quest.i left the ball in OOB finish and had my pro shop guy hit it with a touch of beans secret sauce.i had the ball drilled aggressive,to go long and snap hard on the backend.the ball worked great ther first week.i went to another house to bowl where the shot is usually a bit oilier.now remind you that this is a heavy oil ball and the ball would not even grip the lane.i brought it back to him and explained what was going on and he resurfaced it down to 500 grit wet sand.tried it out friday night and the ball barely moved three boards.i am so open to suggestions on how to bring this ball back to life.it only has about 5 games on it and i'm already ready to get rid of it.i bought it specifically for heavy oil and i can't get it to hook now in medium oil and i have a lot of hand in it.please help!!
