Depends on what you mean by "drier".

Mercury will handle/be usable on lanes with less oil on them than an out-of-the-box surface Saturn, which needs OIL! Mercury is a polished pearl; Saurn is a sanded, dull solid of the same coverstock, accordingn got RG. That should tell you all you need to know.

FYI The Mercury is NOT for dry lanes!
