A good buddy of mine surprised me with a brand new RSX for my birthday. He ordered it with a 3-4" pin and 3ozs top. He will receive it Tuesday and give it to me then. I have been struggling at the lanes for the past couple of months and cannot get a good reaction from my dull Nemesis, Ultimate Inferno, or Goliath. All of those balls are drilled to roll early and I think that is my problem. I do have a Slate Blue Gargoyle with the pin above the ring finger (CG at the grip center), but it is very touchy. One time it will break too much, the next it breaks just fine, and the next it will skid too far.
I have been looking heavily at the RS line and now I have one. How should I drill it? I don't want to drill another paperweight. My specs are in my profile.
Our house has recently went to a PBA recommended house shot. It is a 40 foot shot with a good amount of oil up front but the backends are squeaky clean for the most part (until carrydown sets in).
I was thinking about drilling the RSX like my Slate Blue Gargoyle since the RSX has a stronger coverstock it might work a little better. Should I buy an RS1 to compliment the RSX and drill the RS1 like my Slate Blue, and then put a different drill on my RSX? What do y'all think?
