Yeah, we covered all of this about 2 months ago. It should be a hybrid 2 parts pearl 1 part solid and it probably will be released in July.

I don't normaly follow roto stuff but talked to Tyler Jensen the other day and he confirmed a pearl cell coming soon not hybrid. I will see him again next weekend at an open house.

If you say so. What I understand is that the next ball will be exactly like the Strike Cell which is a hybrid. I think that is the better way to go as well because with the core I think you need some solid to calm the skid flip of pearl.

Except that the Rotogrip page for the Illusion (http://"http://rotogrip.com/products/balls/ball.asp?ballid=69") says "Ultimate Vision Pearl Reactive".  Given that the Horizon was older than the Horizon Solid, it's not a major stretch to believe that it was replaced first.

Well I was more curious who he got his information from because we are NOT releasing a Cell Pearl at Bowl Expo and he seemed pretty confident in his statement.  You WILL know when it is coming before it arrives.

That was what was what a trusted driller around here said. He is some one who usually doesn't run his mouth off. I guess he was inventing stuff. That was also a release date brought up in a previous thread on this topic. Maybe that is where he got the information...I didn't think he was on this site. I may be wrong. Sorry Roger for the messed up release date.

Mustang.. curious why your marketing guys called the new Cell a "strike cell" vs. an "X Cell".  

When I saw the logo, I thought cool.. X-Cell.. like excel or outstanding/superior/excellent.

Trubador - The Strike Cell isn't the next worldwide Cell release.  It is a private label ball made for our international market.  The Strike Cell name and logo was designed and chosen by our International Sales Manager and his distributors in Asia.
