Last spring I traded for a used Berserk with less than 10 games usage. It is drilled 4.75 above ring x 3.5 CG no hole @ 2000/polish. OOB should have been 4000. It will be used in later games for High Street THS (44' 21.3 ml) on 20 yo Proanvilane. My ball for fresh is a Reax Version 2 pin down hole down. The few games I have used it in league have not been great so I am open to suggestions of surface changes that have worked for you. Bowler is 62 yo stroker. THX in advance.

The big thing I can tell you is that you may want to add surface to the Berserk if starting with it.  High Street has more hold room and a higher oil line than some oil patterns. 

Now, there is Pro Lane and then Anvilane.  The difference between both is that Pro Lane will have the breakpoint markers towards the back of the lane whereas Anvilane will not.  Also, Pro Lane is going to have less friction than Anvilane.  In either case, Anvilane and Pro Lane are both slicker than any AMF synthetic surface I've seen (HPL, SPL, MAD II), especially with sport patterns.  This means that the backends will be smoother.  However, if the synthetics are 20 yrs old as you mentioned, there may be a worn track area where you can find some friction.

My advice is that you will probably want to square up and keep your angles tighter until some carrydown occurs.
