I have thrown the Dagger and Outlaw and only seen the Rising Star as it is still newer in our area. Dagger in box condition has a factory shine like the MCP. I knocked it down with a new 4000 abralon pad as I get a more predictable reaction like this. Dagger is good when the lane starts to transition to a more hooking backend as it controls that better.
Outlaw was left box finish. This ball is also pin down/hole down and picks up earlier than the Dagger. The Outlaw is also a solid cover and the Dagger is a hybrid leaning more on the pearl side. Outlaw/Dagger are a good 1-2 punch with switching from the Outlaw the moment it starts pinging corners from energy loss.
What I have seen of the Rising Star is a motion very similar to what the Riot looked like out of box: My Riot hooked early enough but was very smooth arcing and very controllable. I used my Riot on tougher/flatter shots where I needed the ball to pick up and to also slow down off the friction in the back to leave makeable spares. The Rising Star is a hybrid cover, so it does get slightly further down lane than the Riot did.
Honestly, the Shooting Star might be a better bridge to the Rising Star as it has a stronger cover with the same core.
