I would hope it would be a solid version of the RS1 !!!

That would be sick, wouldn't it ?!?

I doubt that we will see a Solid RS-1, wayyyy too much mid lane to be even comparable to the Silver streak.  There is just too much diff.  I think that we might see something new from Roto.  New Core Cover combo, or the Super Sonic Cover in a new core.  That is a strong cover even though most dismiss it as a weak piece.  And the Ressurection out of the box is more aggresive than the SS, but it can be tweaked.  I just hope that whatever comes out will be just as smmoth and controllableBut we will see....the wait begins...........

remember,...you don't REPLACE...you improve!  Intention would NOT be to replace the SS, ....only to fill the arsenal gap it left

It can handle more oil out of the box,...but I'd bet the SS has a bigger backend. The SS was probably THE best core cover combo Roto's ever done!!

Again...I wouldn't count on a SS 'replacement' .... but a new ball that fills the mid-price gap........

ehhh... I think that this time Roto needs to go with a replacement.  If they come out with anything more aggressive than the Solid I think that they will be crossing over into the RS-1 and Ressurection strengths.  The SSS was a great control piece.  When things got nasty, and on sport shots it was a great ball.  I've been trying to find a place to buy some, but there are no more 15's.  But we shall see.

Okay...you guys have sufferred enough.  Check the website out Monday for the new ball to be posted.  Emails will go out to all Pro Shops and Fan Club Members before Friday.  If you haven't signed up for the Fan Club, do so now and you will get the information on the new ball.  Solid Reactive RS-1...the ball is called the RS-X.  All new coverstock on it!  Sure Grip Extreme Solid Reactive.  If you thought the cover on the Vision was strong, you should see it in a solid reactive.  This Mid Performance ball out performs other companies High Performance equipment.

Thanks,

I recently learned that "RS" in the "RS-1" name stands for Roto-Star, a hallowed named in bowling.

Roger,

I think the name of this new group of balls should not be "RS" but should use the full name, "Roto-Star". If this new solid is as good as you imply it is, then it deserves the strong image many of us older folks associate with the Roto-Star name. If it is as good as hinted at, many of the younger folks should learn to associate the Roto-Star name with power and quality!
