Ok, I've now used it twice on a regular THS pattern. The first time was on my Wednesday night league where the shot was very good but I couldn't hit the side of a barn as they say which was due to me and my temporary slump that I put myself in.
So I pick up the ball and head right on down to my Wednesday night league and I start the first game with a powerful 157 (3 splits 2 washouts)
Pretty much the same thing with the second game but I manage to pull out a baby deuce with it anyway.
Third game and now I mentally jacked up and I shoot a 177 with pocket shots all through out the game with no carry...I leave with a major attitude since I knew it was me and not the ball.
The next day arrives and while at work I realized that my game is jacked up due to me trying to throw the ball with added speed and power so I decide to go back to the lanes for some practice and slow way down and release the ball just over 10/12 board and see what would happen.
As soon as I did that the ball reacted the way I had expected it too, I actually rolled the ball a little slower then my normal speed but it worked out just fine as my following games were in the 230s and 240s...was very easy.
So my Friday night league arrives and I played the same line with the same approach and speed and I bowled well again, a great ball this EPIC. Hits like a mad-man and carries pretty much everything as long as I come near the pocket
Infact I left only one 10 pin with it in two and a half games. Even though I had just 456 going into the 3rd game I just shot a baby 6 series since I changed balls and got two splits to make my good series dissapear <sigh!> I really see this ball doing me good in this summer league.
After a few more outings with it I'll have it dialed in and I expect some big numbers and series with it. I just have to remember to play my game and not let my brain tell me to try shoot the ball down the lane 50 mph
just because the 20 yr. olds do it so effortlessly.
Btw, I am loving Roto-Grip, my next purchase will be a dry lane Roto-Grip ball, hmmm, maybe the "mercury"
Later,
