Drilled this one up right before league, I kind of figured I would not be able to use it very much because of the pearl coverstock. I could not have been more wrong.
This ball is like an INFERNO on steroids!!! Super backend reaction, I have not thrown anything that has as much backend since I had my FreakOut.
Drill Pattern: drilled ring finger through the pin, cg kicked out about 3 inches right and the MB about 2 1/2 inches right of the thumb hole. This drilled required a weighthole which I drilled 2 1/2 inches deep with a 1 inch drill bit, and had the hole pitched 1/2 inch away from the grip center.
This ball in the correct hands can be an oil ball....however I do not have that kind of hand. I will need some dry area for it to work. I was standing 28 playing 16board out to 7 board, and got a very good midlane read and a very strong breakpoint. NO big numbers tonight, but that was the bowler certainly not the ball.
I will post a review once I get some more games on the ball, but to this point, the Apocalypse is an awesome ball.

Jeff,
Where did you get this data?
(RG website says it"acts" like a solid/pearl combo.)

Charlest,
Straight from the apocalypse text on the website:
The Apocalypsetm marks the end of average bowling! We've taken the best characteristics of the Cyclotron II tm core along with a totally new Rev-elationtm reactive coverstock giving you the ultimate performance on those medium oil patterns.
The Rev-elationtm coverstock combines the best properties of solid and pearl reactives. Our extensive testing has shown the strong mid-lane traction of a solid reactive combined with the sharp backend motion of a pearl reactive.
A new world of ball reaction awaits!
I can see how if just read once you might not catch that, but if anyone asked I did say it was a half solid/pearl reactive coverstock.
Thanks,

Thank you, Roger.
Yes, I did interpret the words to mean it combines the reactions of each type of coverstock. I think several other brands have spoken similarly about a couple of balls. Only Dyno-Thane hse explicitly said their ball was an actual mixture of solid and pearl. Thanks for clearing that up.

No problem. It probably could have been worded better.
