i had got a assault pearl last month and drill pin at 1:30 position and the MB on my track, after 10-15 games, i had found that the ball skip to long before moving into the pocket (box finish). i also bought a TOP FUEL and drilled 4"x 2"
and also in box finish. now i just want to alter the surface of the assault pearl to have the same (or nearest) reaction to the top fuel, which grit of scotch brite or sand paper can i use?
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

I would hit it with some grey scotch brite to bring it to 800 grit.
Thanks,

Jeff,
My arsenal includes.
Pearl Carbide Bomb
Blueberry
Assault pearl
Viper
Flame
and
XXXL
where do you see any overlap there???
All 3 non plastic Saws are drilled with the pin under fingers and cg swung out a bit. The Blueberry and Assault Pearl are the only 2 balls that overlap. The Pearl Assault is a fair bit stronger than my Blueberry but I can play the same line with them (using speed adjustments) The flame only goes once in a while. So I got 5 balls that are for the most part DIFFERENT... and I is a league bowler............Huh?
