i have a pretty weak drilling on my mars and its still pretty strong. the mars is alot stronger than advertised so be careful. the link on the other hand is one of the best dry lanes ball i have thrown in a while very easy lenght with a nice arc to the pocket. the link would fit nicely under your nomad pearl.

I'd also suggest putting a weak drilling (5.5-6" pin over the bridge area) Neptune, rather than the Mars (pearl vs solid/pearl combo). The Mars will be slightly stronger than the Neptune in all situations.

If the Neptune with that drilling is still too strong, you can always use a hook & backend reducing polish like Valentino's UFO or Delayed Reaction. I prefer UFO because it is easier to use. The ball will go longer, hook less and have less backend.

The Hornet is a viable alternative to a Neptune, might not need such a weak drilling but is more expensive upon initial purchase, but will probably last almost a lifetime.

You may want to try a Pluto. Just got a Mars & Pluto. Pluto was drilled with a negative pin. It is smooth as can be. I used it on burn while practicing yesterday and while I was covering quite afew boards, it was still very controllable. I have OOB cover. The Mars on the other hand was set up a little more aggressively. It has a distictive pop off the dry and overall covers more boards. It also is OOB cover. Hope this helps.
